23 weeks

Today begins month 6... the last month of my second trimester! I don't really have a whole lot to report. I continue getting bigger and bigger. I think I'm pretty much wearing maternity clothes from here on out. Hopefully I have made it through the cold weather (no maternity pants are long enough for these long legs!!) and can wear capris and skirts from here on out.

I am happy to report that I am stretch mark free to this point. I have developed the dark line that runs across my abdomen, but that supposedly shows up quicker on women with darker skin. My belly button is trying desperately to no longer an innie... it sticks out the most after I've eaten a big meal (like today, when I had Ted's for lunch!).

John Mark is busy doing his gymnastics in my stomach. He's big enough now (according to babycenter.com, he's 11 inches long and weighs over a pound- that's in my stomach!!) that we can see him kick and wiggle when I am laying flat. We watched that for a while the other night instead of the movie that was on! Poor Kelly keeps trying to feel him kick, but he just won't do it for her! I needed to call her around 2:00 this morning when he was kicking me!! :o)

22 weeks and growing

It is officially the last week of my 5th month of pregnancy. Things are going well right now. I feel like I'm growing almost everyday. I read today that the baby is almost 11 inches long and weighs about 1 pound right now. Pretty crazy to think that is inside of me this very second!!

An exciting thing happened this past Sunday at church- someone (who didn't know that I was pregnant) asked me when I am due! YAY! I finally look pregnant to the outside world!

In other news, John Mark is busy doing gymnastics inside of me these days. He seems to be on a little bit of a schedule during the week when I'm working, but on the weekends he seems to be lazy like his momma and just wants to sleep! He is kicking hard enough that I can see the kicks on my belly sometimes. It is so exciting...

I guess that's really all I have for today. Work is busy as usual for me, and starting in April Micah will be taking a new position at his company. I'm very proud of him and all he has accomplished at FFL in the past year!

20 weeks

Well, today officially marks the halfway point of the pregnancy. I would post a picture of me, but our home computer is broken and I don't have the software loaded anywhere else to upload it... I guess we'll have a wait a little bit for you to see how big I'm getting!

In other news, Micah felt the baby move last night!! I have been feeling him kick around for a while now, but he's finally strong enough that Micah can feel it. It was pretty cool. I guess I should get ready for more people to be touching my belly, huh?

Other than that, things are rolling along quite nicely. I can't believe we're already this far into it. It just doesn't seem possible. I'm feeling great these days. We go to the gym a few times a week and that seems to help me feel good. I can definitely tell I'm eating more too!!

I guess that's all we have to tell. We'll update again later!

Baby Boy Rigdon

Well, it's official! We are having a precious little boy in a little over 4 months! I can't believe that these first months are flying by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday that I was finding out that I was pregnant. To the left you can see a picture of our son's sweet feet. His feet are already pretty big, so it looks like he'll have a lot to grow into. Not that we weren't expecting our kid to be tall! It is incredible to see such tiny human parts and to know that they are inside of me right this very second. It's a little overwhelming, so be honest with you! Here is another picture that shows his face. It looks like maybe he is sucking his thumb in this one. They moved my due date up a couple of days, so now I am due July 27th. I am thinking that he is setting up to come right on our wedding anniversary, July 24th! I guess we'll see. And oh yes, for the question of the hour- a name. We have decided that he will be named John Mark Rigdon. Micah has always loved the name John Mark, and I think that it's pretty cute. So, unless something happens and he just doesn't look like a "John Mark" (which I have been warned could happen) that will be his name. This picture shows his arm. The tech was trying to get a profile view of him, but he kept sticking his arm up in front of his face. I guess he was being camera shy!

I will try to post a picture of me on here tomorrow. I am getting mixed reviews as to how big I am. The people who know me think that I look "HUGE" but I know that to the outside world I probably just look a little strange! I hope you all enjoy staying in touch this way!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

tomorrow...

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Tomorrow we will know if we're having a boy or a girl. Check back to find out...

In other news, I'm feeling great. I definitely have some of the pregnancy symptoms-- clumsiness, forgetfulness, wanting to eat ALL the time... (maybe that one is just me)-- but other than that I have felt wonderful. I am getting bigger and my normal clothes have been stretched about as far as the rubberband will go and still keep them zipped! I have bought some maternity pants, and I must say- those things are the way to go. Who wouldn't love feeling like you're wearing sweat pants, but looking cute? It's fabulous. I have had some trouble getting them long enough, but with weather like this, it won't be long until I'm wearing capri pants and skirts all the time.

I'll post a picture of me later. Sorry I'm not doing a very good job keeping this updated. Our computer has died and so I don't have Internet access except at work. I'll try to be better!

Love you all!
